Moray OWF - Unidentified Fishing Hazards

Please be advised that Moray Offshore Windfarm (West) Limited (Moray West) have encountered unidentified hazards while undertaking a geophysical survey in the Moray West Offshore Wind Farm Site.

The Kommandor Stewart was conducting turning operations (non-seabed interaction) within the Moray West Offshore Wind Farm Site. The vessel caught their towage assembly on something located subsurface during turning operations between 5 m and 30 m above the seabed. The locations where the incidents occurred listed below:

58°12.250'N 02°51.691'W

58°11.884'N 02°51.334'W

58°10.645'N 02°50.324'W

The incidents resulted in cut cables, topside equipment damage and a dropped object. The causing hazard has not been identified. It is advised that the locations include a recommended 700 m exclusion area, are avoided / treated with caution.
