Moray OWF - Four Empty Steel Barrels

Please be advised that Moray Offshore Windfarm (West) Limited (Moray West) contracted Igeotest Ltd to undertake a geophysical survey. Unfortunately, during this survey there has been a dropped object incident. Four empty steel barrels (used for magnetometry tests as a "surrogate item trial") and one Beacon transponder were dropped close to Burghead Coast.

This notice to mariners (NtM) is to inform other users of the sea of the locations of these dropped objects and notification to avoid these locations. Measures are being taken to recover these dropped objects as soon as possible and a further NtM will be issued to notify other sea users of recovery and removal operations.
